Product details
One of my earliest musical influences were Welsh hymns sung in 4 part harmony in our family. They have deep spiritual significance, binding me to my father's family, their Welsh community in southern Minnesota and with their vivid symbolism of faith and poignant harmonies. I arranged them to be played at my husband's funeral, as a kind of colliery band feel for mourners, but for me, these gorgeous brass instruments had the majesty needed for this momentous farewell. Beethoven had 4 trombones at his funeral and his choice of timbre is just right for a solemn but blessed occasion.
