Sheet Music: ScoreWiredLife : three pieces for mandolin duo / John Peterson.by John Peterson (1999)
|
Product details
These pieces represent an emotional response to inner-city living. The constant noise and aggravation of city life, combined with the fact that you can never really be alone, are all things that make their presence felt in our everyday lives whether we like it or not. We often become nervous, wary, paranoid, 'wired', and don't even realise that, over a period of time, we may have become different people to what we were before. The music within these pieces is a reflection of those attitudes. The constant quaver movement forms a seemingly unchanging backdrop that combines with syncopated rhythms and repetitive figurations in an attempt to recreate the emotions of individuals coping with contemporary city life.
