Work Overview

This soundtrack was composed for a commercial for James Boag Premium Lager, that was inspired by a famous black and white photograph by Helmut Newton, showing a lady peeping through a keyhole. The films of Alfred Hitchcock, and the tag line 'Who is James Boag?' provided additional inspiration.

Unusually, although Angie Coffey, composer, was handed the storyboard, the commercial was yet to be shot. Thus, she composed the music first and it became an inspiration for the cinematography and was played at the filming. Richard Franklin directed the commercial.

It was screened in cinemas for several years from 1998.
