Work

The Carnival of Extinct Animals : for piano 4 hands

by Robert Davidson (2021)

Work Overview

A celebration of animals who have either vanished or are endangered, this work bases its melody and rhythmic material on the traces we have of these disappeared animals, from the gait of the Thylacine determining the rhythm to the extraordinarily melodic calls of the Sumatran Rhino becoming an aria.
