A setting of Randolph Stow's poem, composed in Yogyakarta with assistance from singer Ubiet Raseuki, immediately after two key events: visiting Borobadur temple and listening to a performance of Javanese shadow puppet theatre with live gamelan. The music is somewhat Australian and somewhat Indonesian.
