Work Overview

Iero is the name in langue d'oc for the town of Hyères in Provençal France. This is part of a linguistic region called Occitan that stretches from the Piedmont valleys in Italy to San Sebastián on the Atlantic coast of the Basque country. My family lived in the area for at least four hundred years, before being driven out in the seventeenth-century. With thanks to Freesound recordists ERH (Hyeres) and uair01 (Rotterdam), as well as La Tabù for the tango sample. The Buddha Machine was created by FM3 (Christiaan Virant and Zhang Jian).
