In 'Wild Call' I aimed to suggest a forlorn and timeless cry from the Tasmanian wilderness. The central section represents a vain striving to console.
Instrumentation: Oboe, clarinet in B flat, violin, viola, cello.
Duration: 12 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — Composed for an undergraduate ensemble so very approachable
Dedication note: for Tasmanian Conservatorium Ensemble, 'ibidem'
First performance: by Ibidem ensemble — Jun 98. St David's Cathedral, Hobart
