Work Overview
How the Sun Loved the Moon is a work inspired by various mythologies, poems and stories from around the globe which describe the Sun's yearning to be with the Moon yet never quite meeting together in space and time each day and night. The work uses soaring melodies to express the yearning of the Sun, and rhythmic passages express the frustration of almost being in reach of one another, but still so far away.
