Work Overview
A four-movement piece for enlarged wind ensemble ("Harmonie"), which exploits the sound of all instruments as soloists and in ensemble. The movements are Intrada, Scherzo, Nocturne and Finale. Intended to be a showcase piece for this group, the music is freely tonal in a modern romantic idiom, but using a larger group than Dvorak or Strauss in their wind serenades.
