Moonstruck : for two voices (male and female) and guitar / Benjamin Thorn.
Library shelf no. 783.12542/THO 1 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
Moonstruck was composed as a response to Norman Lindsay's etching/aquatint of the same name, for a perfomance by the New England Regional Art Museum "Out of the Frame" that presented 16 different artworks on stage. It aims to be a totally absurdist love duet between Pierrot and Columbine and contains about 35 different rhymes for moon. The absurdity of the text contrasts with a fairly simply folky setting.
