This work was commissioned for St James King St Sydney as part of their Advent Cantata Series, and is composed in the format of a Bach Cantata. The texts are all taken from Female poets, while the music itself quotes a Lutheran Hymn also utilised by Bach.
Instrumentation: SATB Choir and Semi-chorus, string ensemble, organ, flute, oboe, audience participation.
