3 settings of unusual newspaper clippings for mixed Early Music ensemble.

Work Details

Year: 1988

Instrumentation: Recorder (soprano and treble, doubling bongos), Baroque violin, soprano, harpsichord, viola da gamba, guitar (modern classical).

Duration: 7 min.

Difficulty: Advanced — Technically challenging. Requires tight ensemble playing and a dramatic presentation, particularly from the soprano.

Contents note: 1. Headaches caused by a bullet in the skull -- 2. Dead - the girl who cried at Christmas -- 3. The naughtiest girl in the world.

First performance: by Nuove Musiche Baroque Ensemble — 1988.
