Work Overview
Litany Against Everything is a kind of grand existensionalist/nihilistic hymn. It can be sung by a male soloist with female responses or male and female unison groups. Originally performed by my band Waldo's Wedding way back in the day it contains interludes where the organist can extemporise on the chord progression if they so choose. If not, I have included written examples which they may play or disregard at their discretion. The stately 3/2 metre sounds to me like it was influenced by Yes but the lyrical content is the complete polar opposite. I later adapted it for part of my chamber work, Crustacean Rejoinder.
