Work Details
Year: 2012
Instrumentation: Bass clarinet, soprano sax, computer running Digital Performer for live treatments via four output channels, piano, 3 singers.
Duration: 31 min.
First performance: 18 Dec 12. The Street Theatre, Canberra
This work is for solo winds: bass clarinet plus a little soprano sax; using a pitch-shifting delay that helps the player create an immersive soundscape. There is also a hideously jaunty showtune which I'm very pleased with.
Funded by artsACT as part of a creative development process for the theatre piece 'The Burning Heart'
