'Don't flee from me' is the fifth song in the song cycle of contemporary classical art songs 'Songs of Love and Desire' for Mezzo Soprano voice, composed by Margaret Brandman to the passionate lyrics of Désirée Regina. This dramatic song is the most operatic of the collection. It is in the same minor key as the first song in the cycle. In this song, the singer pleads with her lover not to leave her in sorrow.
