Work Overview
Honest Songs is a piece for flute and retuned guitar capturing a painful break up of two lovers. The piece musically portrays feelings of love for the other person through to disappointments to arguments and eventual break up, as reflected in the names of the four movements:
1. Song of Hope I
2. Song of Rage I
3. Song of Rage II
4. Song of Hope II
