Work Overview

Froglein Fleur, Froglein Floris, Froglein Freda & Froglein Fanny are swinging on trapezes that hang from the beams at the top of the Eiffel Tower. They are performing their nightly cabaret show to a spars audience of pigeons, rats and mice.

Tonight We Perform For You is the opening number in Charody's circus opera A Cheetah In Paris. A Cheetah In Paris was commissioned via the programme HomePlay that was created by ChloƩ Charody Creations LTD. in 2021 during the Covid 19 pandemic and funded by Arts Council England. The programme was founded in order to create a platform for professional creative artists to collaborate with disabled children and write new stories that Charody would later turn into Circus Operas. In 2021, as live performances were hindered due to the pandemic, Charody brought several opera singers trained in aerial acrobatics from her Circus Opera Academy in Berlin together with a handful of world-class acrobats to create A Cheetah In Paris into a Circus Opera on film.
