Work Overview
Ondas Curtas (Short waves) arises from my early fascination with exploring late at night the remote sound worlds of shortwave frequencies, first with a crystal receiver kit and later with an ageing Hallicrafters S-76, made in the early 1950's. This work includes found sounds recorded by ERH (Provence, France), Galeku and JonnyThePonny (shortwave material), KeithPeter (Birmingham), Kijjaz (Thailand), Timsippala (Vietnam) and Zozzy (Emmen Valley, Switzerland), sourced through Freesound.org. The tango is Horas Habiles #1 by La Tabù, from Freemusicarchive.org.
