Work Overview
Fire as ritual, fire as danger. Night as blackness and as a backdrop for light. Fire as warmth and as a purifying energy lighting up the night against the backdrop of stars. Nightfire was written as the days were darkening into winter.
It plays with ostinato figures and timbral nuances to create a fun and technically interesting piece for the two instruments
