Work Overview
Sweet Dreams was composed in 2019 as part of my Honours portfolio at the University of Adelaide. The work opens as a lullaby with a solo clarinet presenting the main theme over lush harmonies and twinkling percussion. This idea is then developed alongside several other secondary themes through a variety of evolving moods and atmospheres. Even though this work is subtitled 'a lullaby for wind orchestra,' I can assure both the listener and performer that there is plenty of action to keep you awake!
