Work Overview

Composed on the birth of my daughter, this Lullaby uses deliberately simple material to evoke the peacefully cocooned world of a newly born child. Primarily exploiting the lydian mode, the work layers melodic ideas over a persistent rising two-note motif in the glockenspiel and gentle harp arpeggios.
