Work Overview
In Thread I have set out to explore a range of textures, rhythmic and melodic ideas within a harmonic framework generated largely through improvisation. The title refers to melodic ideas which thread through the piece, and also to a musical continuity I feel is present in the piece from my earlier work in vocal music across a range of styles and genres.
