Work

The journey : for SATB choir, harp and percussion

by Elliott Gyger (2008)

Work Overview

This work was written for a project organized by Glenn Gordon, involving a number of composers making settings of the well-known Mormon hymn "Come, come, ye Saints". The Journey superimposes the four verses of William Clayton's text, one in each section of the choir, reflecting its multilayered sense of journeying: geographical, personal and spiritual.
