Work Overview
This work consists of a rather languorous introduction, leading, via a bridging passage, into a boisterous scherzo made up of three main ideas, the third of which is linked to a middle phrase of the Introduction. The Postlude freely refers to both that idea in a recurring manner and the very opening of the Introduction.
