Sonatina for piano (solo piano)
by Don Kay (1964)
I composed Sonatina for Piano in England in 1964, shortly before returning to Australia that year. It represented, at the time, an expression of liberation from the rigours of composing with 12 note serial techniques, exclusively, for about three years. Beryl Sedivka gave its first performance in an ABC broadcast of Tasmanian piano music in 1971.
Duration: 8 min.
Contents note: 1. Con Brio -- 2. Con Sentimento -- 3. Con Moto.
- In the form/style of: Sonatinas
