Work Overview
The text is set to music from the perspective of short and sometimes extremely lost episodic memories. A Soldier from World War 1.
My hope is capture some of the almost unspeakable and unavoidable sadness of 'A Lost Soldier's memory. It is an attempt to grasp at times, the ungraspable sights of War.
The Harpsichordist, if possible is to perform under very intense Blue Light. The Soprano & Harmonium are to be positioned as far back behind the audience as possible, and hopefully out of view.
