Tango & terror : for solo violin / Kevin March.
Library shelf no. 787.2/MAR 4 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
Tango & Terror is a virtuoso work for solo violin inspired by Pagannini's glittering 24 Caprices, the tangos of Astor Piazzolla, and vampires. As the work progresses, it becomes faster and more difficult making the "terror" aspect as much about the performance as the supernatural inspiration. The work quotes the title song of an iconic American vampire-themed gothic horror soap opera of the late 1960s.
