Work Overview
Clouds is a suite of improvised pieces based on photographs of clouds that I took while touring Australia in 2009. The different skies provoked a series of feelings for me that could only be conveyed through the freedom and non exactitude of improvisation, just as no cloud formation can ever be exactly the same twice. Only Fragments is through composed as it is more about an emotional state than the sky it was based on. Any of the pieces can be played with or without pedal effects however all of the pieces benefit from being performed in a resonant performance space.
