Work Overview
Toccata is a moto perpetuo of triplet semiquavers in one hand, with the other hand using various contrapuntal techniques above, below, or around the fast-moving line. The form is remeniscent of late nineteenth century and early twentieth century French organ toccatas where the theme is played on the pedals.
