Work Overview

This work is neo-romantic in style, with a focus on beautiful melodic line. The first song, 'Wishing for the Cloths of Heaven', has been performed at weddings, concerts and eisteddfods around Australia, and requires good diaphragmatic support to successfully carry its sustained melodic lines. The piano accompaniment features ornamentation. Its partner song, 'Where My Books Go', offers the choir or solo vocalist an opportunity to improvise in the concluding section of the work.
