Work Overview
"Look for the beauty in everything. There you will find a gift, a gift that makes you whole." With these words, a lyrical soprano solo likening the centre of a flower to the soul of Nature, opens The Gift. A contrasting imitative giocoso middle section follows, which sings in the new day as the melody opens to embrace the future, singing for joy and love's eternity.
The Gift features beautiful enharmonic changes
and a sparkling piano accompaniment.
