Work Overview

This is the third piece in a series of works exploring chaos in music. Specifically, the piece uses a set of cellular automata rules to generate musical material. (See NMA #9)

Instrumentation: Clarinet doubling Bass Clarinet, Marimba doubling Vibraphone (or two players), Cello

Duration: 6 min.

Difficulty: Advanced — Percussion very difficult if only one player (simultaneous playing of vibes and marimba)
