Serenade II for small orchestra : full orchestra
by Miloslav Penicka (1961)
Written after success of first and on return from compulsory military service (which I did not enjoy - even if never being shot at!) However my memories of all the miserable and exhilirating occasions linger! Perhaps you will find some of it in the music, even if I hope it is not necessary.
Instrumentation: 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, percussion, strings.
Duration: 15 min.
Contents note: I. Poco allegro -- II. Adagio -- III. Con moto -- IV. Vivace.
