Score [ePDF]
Memoria : for orchestra [eScore] / Chris Pickering.
Work Overview
Memoria, a piece for orchestra, is based on trains or threads of thought or memory - sometimes interrupted, or sometimes persistent or fighting to be heard amongst other mental noise. The inspiration for the piece came from my mother's struggle with Alzheimer's disease, an illness that affects the way memory is experienced and translated. It's dedicated to her memory.
