Work

Autumn : SATB choir

by Lachlan Skipworth (2017)

Work Overview

I was drawn to this and two other poems by Rainer Maria Rilke as their subject matter, although somewhat dark, resonates with a sense of delicate beauty amidst their spiritual undertones. In 'Autumn', the musical setting plays off the poem's repeated use of the word "falling".
