Product details
Night Dances is the middle movement of a projected three-movement work entitled Ancestors for orchestra. The other movements (in progress) are 1. Night and 3. Into the Light.
The three movements taken together are to form a gradual ascendancy from a state of darkness and unconsciousness to one of light and knowledge, which to the composer is an aspiration in both art and life.
Night Dances begins in a place of darkness but through instinctive life energy and struggle begins this upward movement towards the light.
