Work Overview
The structure of 'String Trio' consists of a theme and three variations plus an ending section. Through this structure a process of development and liquidation (of note values) occurs, in which fragments are constantly recombined and harmonic rhythm fluctuates. The ending functions as a superimposition of the original sustained material upon the evolved 'turbulence' in which notions of struggle and resignation come into conflict - and I'm not saying which one wins.
