Nautilus Shell (vocal music)
by Miriama Young (2009)
Harmonium and voice intertwine to create a circular song about soft beginnings, accidental meetings, a lifetime of chance meetups that feel like fate. The song circles around a continually descending bass line, in which time seems to go backwards, and life glides through a slipping minor key.
Instrumentation: Vocals, harmonium.
Duration: 6 min.
