Work Overview
Through musical storytelling, this piece enlivens the important symbiotic activity between fungi and plants which occurs in the ground beneath our feet.
Plant/Tree is represented by the percussion (wood blocks and temple blocks) with Audience Percussion Choir.
Fungi/Mycellium is represented by the Flute with Audience Humming Choir.

Instrumentation: Flute, percussion, live flute loops OR pre-recorded flute loops played back as stereo audio (available from the composer), plus optional audience vocal and percussion choirs.
Duration: 4 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — audience vocal and percussion choirs are easy, require no musical background. Flute part difficult; percussion part medium.
