ISCM 2020 in New Zealand - Australian works submitted
The Australian ISCM section's official submission for the 2020 ISCM World New Music Days in Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand (21-30 April) includes the following works:
• Pedro Alvarez: Acrisolares (2015) for piccolo flute, tenor saxophone, vibraphone and piano
• Kate Neal: Suite of works from While You Sleep (2018) for string quartet and fixed (visual/audio) media
• Chris Perren: CASCADR (2016) - audiovisual work.
Congratulations to these composers on their selection. The festival will include at least one work from each official submission in the official festival program. The AMC will relay the announcement of the program as soon as it has been made.
The Composers Association of New Zealand (CANZ) is in charge of organising the festival in the two cities - for more details, please see the website. The annual Asian Composers League festival will also take place in Christchurch during the same period.
