Scott's music explores identity and lived experience and she has a keen interest in writing for orchestral forces. She has written for the Sydney, Tasmanian, and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras, the Australian World Orchestra, the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellows and WA Youth Orchestras.

Scott has also scored dance works for the Australian Ballet and Orchestra Victoria and vocal works for Morambilla voices, Gondwana Junior and Sydney Chamber Opera.

Scott is passionate about advocating for people with disability through her music. Her works for BackStage Music, Flautist Claire Chase, the Sydney Chamber Opera and UK Horn Specialist Isaac Shieh have all explored the lived experience of disability. Scott has also shared her research into the representation of women with disability in music at Harvard and Columbia universities, worked as a co-curator and access facilitator for BackStage Music, and has been a guest presenter on ABC Classic Radio.

In 2021, Scott's Opera Her Dark Marauder was a finalist for Work of the Year: Dramatic in the APRA AMC Art Music Awards and she received the Australia Council for the Arts Young Artist Award at the 2021 NADA Awards.

In 2025 Scott will work with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Find Your Voice Collective, BackStage Music, and Play Outdoors Productions. She will also undertake a residency at All That We Are in Tasmania as part of the Prelude Residency Program.
