About The Music
"...the finest choral singing [...] ever heard in Australia." - Limelight Magazine
Brisbane-based choir The Australian Voices (TAV) join Omega Ensemble for a performance where the spiritual and modern worlds collide. With sublime choral favourites by Faure and Mozart, this performance also includes a rare presentation of the original chamber version of Faure’s Requiem, Britten’s forceful Cantata Misericordium featuring guest soloists David Greco (Baritone) and Timothy Reynolds (Tenor), and a ‘re-composition’ of Mozart’s Requiem by TAV Artistic Director and composer Gordon Hamilton.
Featured non-Australian music: Fauré, Britten, Mozart
