Event Details
Michael Kieran Harvey is Australia’s leading performer of piano music of the past 50 years. The extraordinarily virtuosic Piano Concerto by Ligeti is a pianistic tour de force, a lion of a work, fitting fodder for this lion of a pianist. Resident Composer Andrew Ford’s powerful new Symphony here receives its second performance by Brett Dean and the Orchestra of the Academy.
Featured non-Australian music: Haydn, Ligeti
