This event is suitable for children aged 8–12 years

Our show ‘Inventi Explores the Planets with Laura the Astronaut’ is an exciting multi sensory experience using our arrangement of Holst’s ‘The Planets’ (by Glynn Davies), new works by Johannes Luebbers as well as animations by James Josephides. We join Laura the Astronaut in her spaceship who unfortunately accidentally flies into a black hole! This means her spaceship suddenly can’t tell her where she is, and so we follow her as she must meet the characters of Holst’s Planets: Mars the bringer of war, Mercury the winged messenger, Jupiter the bringer of Jollity. Children will be able to design their own planets too (made out of paper plates), these will then be hung in the space as their very own galaxy!

Featured non-Australian music: Holst (arr. Glynn Davies)
