QCGU alumni Hannah Reardon-Smith, Jodie Rottle, and currently faculty Rebecca Lloyd-Jones present a performance of recently composed works for flutes, objects, and percussion by diverse Australian women. The program includes works that explore aspects of our natural environment by leading Asian-Australian composer Liza Lim (Bioluminescence, 2019), Yuin Aboriginal composer Brenda Gifford (Mungala: Clouds, 2018), and young Asian-Australian composer Kezia Yap (space two, 2020; written in collaboration with Hannah Reardon-Smith), along with two world premieres—new works by Lebanese-Australian performer-composer Jodie Rottle and Sydney-based composer-performer Elizabeth Jigalin.
