Leading new music ensemble Soundstream Collective will bring to life some of the most exciting and imaginative works by Australia’s most spirited young composers in a concert at Elder Hall on November 4, along with a commissioned work by 2012 ECF recipient Sebastian Phlox. Featuring Adelaide Symphony Orchestra principals Geoffrey Collins and Simon Cobcroft, former Australian Quartet first violinist Sophie Rowell, clarinettist Peter Handsworth, pianist Ashley Hribar and percussionist Andrew Penrose, with Charles Bodman Rae conducting, and mentors/jury members Melody Eotvos, Stephen Whittington, and Dutch composer Jan-Bas Bollen. Expect electronics, video and iPads.
