Event Details

What is it about the music of Ross Edwards that is so deeply moving and causes listeners to respond so powerfully? This portrait concert brings together his most magical and poetic works including the premiere of his latest new work, Sacred Kingfisher Psalms, co-commissioned with the Edinburgh Festival, Ars Musica Australis / Father Arthur Bridge and the Song Company. Joining it will be the premiere of the new version of his Sparks and Auras, the 1st performance of his Mass of the Dreaming for solo voices and the now legendary work he wrote for the beginning of the new millenium, heard and seen by millions across the world - Dawn Mantras.

Featuring The Song Company, and the New Zealand String Quartet. Conducted by Roland Peelman.
