Event Details
Rich, bold and dramatic music by Schumann, Szymanowski and Stanhope.
WASO audiences know that Principal Conductor Asher Fisch has a rare affinity for Schumann’s symphonies and each performance under his baton is a very special event. This performance of Schumann’s compact and powerful Fourth Symphony will be no exception. Szymanowski’s Concert Overture is lush, radiant and positively Straussian in its orchestration and soaring melodies. Asher Fisch is joined by WASO’s Principal Trombone Joshua Davis to premiere acclaimed Australian composer Paul Stanhope’s Trombone Concerto.
