The choir at Christ Church North Adelaide asked me to write a piece that would be suitable for communion. I chose four verses from Psalm 62. The music seeks to convey the quiet trust, hope and patience encampsulated in these words. From this place of trust comes the last line, the culmination of the piece: "Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us."
