This work is a setting of a poem by Roslyn White, who commissioned the work, called Celebration of love, to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary with her husband Christopher White.

The first performance took place at the 55th anniversary of the Tudor Choristers. At the first performance, a number of family members joined the choir, and Roslyn White herself sang a solo.

The composer and the commissioner worked together on the project from the beginning.
